smoke and mirrors water

This is my primary obsession with photography, water close up. When asked to describe why I love this subject, typically I struggle to answer without much hand-waving and waffling. My scientific brain is fascinated by light interactions at dynamic fluid/gas boundaries. My artistic brain likes pretty reflections on running water. I can return to the same place weeks later, and find the same delicous surface patterns, but the light is always different. But the same. Far out. There, I said it.
